Update first

1. Boot Garry USB and connect to the internet.
2. Open Garry Updates → Check for updates → Download update → Install for next restart.
3. Restart Garry yourself. Open Phone & Tablet Reset on the desktop.
4. Choose Setup & help → Setup tools with phones disconnected. This downloads the Apple restore engine from Debian; it does not erase a phone.

Already have Garry Updates? No Rufus or formatting is needed on supported writable, persistent USB media. If the updater is missing, use the one-time updater installation.

What is included

Apple: recovery-device detection and a device-targeted stock-firmware erase workflow. You must identify and confirm the connected device before an erase starts. Internet is needed to obtain signed firmware.

Android: official manufacturer recovery instructions; buttons and cable requirements depend on the model.

Existing tools: boot recovery, Computer Security, Physical Access Check and Garry Updates remain included. The mobile theft-test plan and blank report template are available under /usr/share/doc/garry-desktop.

Current limits

The launcher and package are software-tested. An actual restore on your phones/iPads has not been tested; Apple support depends on the model, firmware and packaged restore-engine version. The full boot ISO and your physical USB are unchanged until you install this update.

A reset deletes local data. Apple Activation Lock and Android account verification may remain afterward. This does not recover passwords or bypass those account locks. The USB requires a computer; it cannot perform a reset merely by plugging directly into a phone.

If Linux restoration is unsupported for your Apple device, use Apple Devices on Windows or Finder on Mac.
